Refund Policy

1. 30-day money-back guarantee
Every paid report on MOT Checkup is covered by a 30-day no-questions money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied with any paid report for any reason within 30 days of purchase, reply to your receipt email and we will refund you within 24 hours of your request. No forms, no questions, no exceptions.
The guarantee applies to Basic, Premium and Bundle purchases for 30 days from the original purchase date, regardless of whether the report has been viewed or downloaded.
2. What's refundable
The following purchases are refundable in full within 30 days of the order date:
- Basic report — £5.99: refundable in full whether or not the report has been opened.
- Premium report — £13.99: refundable in full whether or not the report has been opened or downloaded.
- Bundle (2 Premium) — £18.99: refundable in full provided the second bundle credit has not yet been redeemed on a second plate. If only the first plate has been viewed, a full refund still applies.
3. What's not refundable
- Bundle purchases where the second credit has already been redeemed on a different plate — once both credits are used, the bundle is fully delivered.
- Reports paid for more than 30 days before the refund request.
- Subscriptions: we do not currently sell any recurring subscriptions, so no subscription refunds apply.
4. How to request a refund
You have two equally valid options. Either is fine and both reach the same inbox:
- Reply directly to your Stripe receipt email — the order number is already attached, so no other information is needed.
- Or email us at info@motcheckup.co.uk quoting the Stripe receipt or order number from your confirmation email.
You do not need to give a reason. You do not need to fill in a form. Once we receive the request we issue the refund within 24 hours.
5. Refund processing time
We issue refunds through Stripe within 24 hours of receiving your request. Stripe then returns the funds to the original payment method (card or wallet) used at checkout. Stripe's standard processing time means the money typically appears on your statement within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
We can only refund to the original payment method — this is a Stripe requirement and protects against fraudulent chargebacks.
6. Statutory rights
Your statutory rights as a consumer under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by this refund policy. This policy is offered in addition to your statutory rights, not in place of them. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any right that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.
